What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Great idea!!

 

I enjoy when people eye my Prius... went into Toyota for reg service and he literally walked around it twice. The hydraulic hood almost caught his chin by surprise, lol. wish I took a video. And as stated before, I always have that weird tendency to walk around too after a service and even under the hood. Its like a baby.

 

I now have the ol'man beaded seat cover to try and save my sweaty back during the summer. It matches pretty well, but the top part wasn't sitting flush with the seat. Not the end of the world but a bit annoying.

So looking for ideas on how to pull it back a bit my wife came up with the idea of suspenders. I bought a pair of baby suspenders (with bow tie) which arrived today. And I found the perfect victim for the bow tie (I apologize to my poor defenseless kitten for this photo).

 

May i know the name of the front lip bumber of the grey prius and where i can purchase it at what price?

Installed illuminated door sill late night after work.
Installed toyota S wheels. Pictures to follow in am

 

Mounted the corolla S wheels so my 18s has to go. So far I am liking it. It will be her shoes for a year or 2.

 

Looks nice. If the 18s are the ones shown on your profile, I am liking those even more.

 

Got my Steering wheel cover in from the UK.. Gray was not a great match but the leather does feel nice. Much nicer feel to the hand then the plastic. If I had to redo the stitching again, and I might, I would not follow Mr. Steerings instructions to the T. Stitching looks a little messy, I did redo it on the bottom in between the 2 lower spokes with a simple back and forth pattern, not only looked better but really pulled the cover nice and tight. Overall pretty easy but it took a solid 45 minutes..

 

Yeah, black is a better match than charcoal gray, since the airbag cover is black.

 

Yea would go black if I were to do it again. The steering wheel though is gray thats what i used as my rationale..

 

Im gaining 5 MPG now. However, firestone cannot program the TPMS. According to the tech he was not getting any signal on all 4 wheels. I wander if TPMS was change since then. i will try tomorrow in A different location

 

Are you using the same TPMS or a different set? I think the TPMS ECU can only store 4 TPMS at a time, if different set is use...the old one in the ECU memory need to be erase or delete for registering the new set.

 

New set and it comes with the wheels when i bought it. I will try another firestone location tomorrow. Will see what happens

 

I took off all the other fasteners first, then unscrewed the big ones. I wish all the fasteners were screw in types, easy to take out and put back on.

 

Installed all green LED's, except white for the vanity mirrors. (Blanket looks messy, its to protect seats from my dog.)

 

K&N Cabin Filter. Always a fan of K&N product

 

Will be installing some fogs over the weekend. I guess thats should be all my mods for the prius.
I hate this thought of selling my prius after I have done most of the mods available here in priuschat.
Has anybody came up to that point when you say, "It's enough and I will start all over again."

 

Does it have an oily odor?
