Busy weekend. Glad it is over and I can go back to work to relax.

 

Today I just admired my ride. But yesterday was wash and wax day. Removed bugs and tar, and the odd spatter of paint or grease. Chamois dry and a generous and lovingly applied coat of Nu Finish. All shiny now, and slippery as snot on a porcelain doorknob.

Edit 37 minutes later -- And changed my avatar. I still miss my 2008 ...

We had 6" of snow, followed by freezing rain, then rain. A huge ugly mess.

 

How do you like that dashcam?

How long can it record for? Memory card? Or hard drive?

You better make sure you can actually see (literally, driving around, if you used aftermarket LED replacements. Plug and play replacement lights for the halogen bulbs may be plenty bright, but put out a poorly focused beam in real world use due to the less than ideal LED placement/configuration in relation to the reflector bowls and lenses in the oem projectors.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I will take it for a spin tomorrow night to see how they project at night.

From what I recall it can record 5 or 10 minute clips then loops recordings when the card memory is full in which I put on a 32GB micro SD card. Had this Sept '14 and since then I haven't changed any settings

Had this Sept '14 and since then I haven't changed any settings (can record different frame rates at 720 & 1080p but I have it on 720p to maximize card memory).
It was CAD$55 on ebay back then. The front lens cover is a shiny silver then I just cut a piece of CF to make it less noticeable.

 

Just took the car for a spin. The lights are no worse than stock, but much whiter. Will have to see how they work in traffic. I live out of town, so no one around tonight, except for three Sheriff deputies in our development. They didn't stop me, so the lights must not be overwhelming to oncoming vehicles.

 

Installed dashcam.

fender emblems to replace plasti-dipped hybrid emblems. sorry, no car washes until it gets warmer


not sure if I like the grille badge yet or not... because of the next mod you will see thru the grille...

still waiting on a few more orders and the things that require warmer climates before I stop for awhile. Supposed to be 30 degrees this upcoming weekend, so Im pretty excited!

And here's something extra... I tried to stay organized when I built my PC when it came to finance, window shopping, and want vs. need. So I decided to take my Prius in the same manner to avoid bottoming out and recklessly spending (which might have happened already thanks to this thread and its evil inspirations ) by creating OneNote pages to "book-keep" my spending/projects/by date/chronological.etc!

This one is my notes for modding. consistently adding/removing/changing.


and the expense spreadsheet. the numbers nobody wants to see and the fiancé can never know!
