Sean! Good luck at Wekfest. Funny thing, I was just asking some local Prius owners what they use to wash/clean their cars. What products do you have laid out there and what do they do if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!

For regular washing I use Meguiars ultimate wash and wax. For detailing what I had laid out was a menzerna 2500 which is a medium cut to remove swirls and scratches and 4500 which is for finishing it's very light cut polish. Also "Eraser" which will remove all the oils from the polish prior to putting the last product shown on which is black fire wet diamond paint protector. That's what I use as my sealant it's much better then wax and lasts a lot longer.

Why are you getting all this work done? Installing larger wheels?

No, when Speed Element did the original alignment after lowering it, they tried to get it to true 0 but was off a couple of degrees. So they recommended camber bolts for the front & camber shims for the rear to get the alignment to true 0 alignment. Without these, my tires would've worn faster.

Hi sfprankster, how hard was it to remove the original shifter? I tried to remove mine but pretty tough, I didn't want to break the whole thing. Just a thought because I want to get that TRD shifter you have. Cheers!

The shifter knob just unscrews counter clockwise. No need to remove anything else.

The shifter bezel comes off with a gentle amount of leverage with a panel tool. I started on the edge nearest the driver's knee, and worked around the panel counter clockwise lifting up towards the rear view mirror/map lights.

I do believe I'm the winner... :ROFLMAO:

I found an actual weld in the Prius today...

Oh. I guess My TRD lowering springs were a mild enough drop that alignment was still able to have it within oem specs.

Anyone got any tips to put the car badges back on? I removed them to do the detail and now they aren't so sticky. I have a couple ideas but just seeing if anyone else has a better alternative. Thanks :)

I just used clear silicone adhesive to reattach them after I removed them for paint. Been nearly 3 years and they're all still on......

Thanks a lot, I was thinking about using the 3m decal adhesive but I heard some bad things about it. Suppose I'll run to the store sometime today and find something. What you used came in a small tube?
