Drove mine 140 miles and used my new heat shield for first time today. BTW we have a gravel driveway at my house and I get alot of gravel tracked into the vehicle, most of it sand sized that gets into the mats and is hard to get out. What replacement mats would yall recommend, the Toyota all weather mats or the weathertech mats?

I got the Toyota ones from Amazon because I wanted things to say Prius and they have the holes for locking down the driver's mat. At first I didn't like the 2-piece cargo mat, but after I found out how heavy they are, I think it's easier to deal with the individual pieces than a large single mat. I only use them on road trips, so any would work.

Changed transaxle oil at 36725 miles:

While I had the undercover off the Prius, I also installed a Fumoto F103N oil change valve in the oil drain pan. I got tired of getting my hands messy every time I have to drain some of the dealer overfilled oil after they do an oil change.

My 2011 Prius two came with tints from dealer but they were too light. This week had the old tints finally removed and much darker solar guard tint installed. Its been so very hot here in south Florida and happy to say it was well worth it. I Noticed the intake fan inside cabin coming on much less now.

Also replaced the original h11 headlight bulbs which were still working and went with Phillips 55 w 5000 k hid like light. I noticed much more coverage on the sides and distance. A more white/blue light. Kept the old bulbs just in case of any issues.

Next thing I need to do wash and get someone to put a nice layer of wax on thankfully the white paint. Its been a good week for the Prius.

I don't think so. I've seen a lot of expired temp plates on our trips and I would have had our daughter text me the plate number when it arrived. Still, it's nice not to have to think about it. :)

4 days after having my Tanabe coilovers installed, I took down the fronts from 40mm to 30mm (10mm drop):

    IMG_20140822_112835.jpg

    IMG_20140823_113933.jpg

The stance is perfectly even and there is exactly 40mm wheel gap front and rear for an overall lowering of about 1 inches all around. However, I scraped a speed bump already :( I've learned that you must go really slow over those things.

While the car handles a lot better, the ride comfort has been impacted from the firm suspension. The problem is also compounded by the fact that my low profile Toyo A20's rubber rides as hard as rock. Even without Tanabes, the impacts from small undulations and expansion joints on the road could be felt easily inside the cabin. I think that I cannot speak for every owner of these coilovers but they may not possibly be a keeper for me - the roads in my city may be in worse condition overall than the typical North American city.

The Tanabes are the softest japanese coilovers available for the Prius (compared to Tein, Cusco, RS*R) with 3.4F / 4.0R spring rates. Even with the low spring rates, they are still 60% stiffer than OEM. While taking hard corners puts a smile on my face, I will most likely convert to a softer setup such as oem shocks w/Tanabe NF210 springs (5% stiffness increase) as this suits me better.

I still recommend the Tanabe Sustec Pro-OC's to anyone looking for a street coilover. Just make sure you don't have a city riddled with potholes and that you are not using the crap OEM Toyo A20's (215-45R17).

Update: I posted a more detailed review of this setup. See Full Review - Tanabe Sustec Pro-OC coilovers | PriusChat

LOL. I don't know how some guys here drop the car to the max, and then run 18 inch wheels. I am having issues here already with just 1 inch lowering.
