The hood been on awhile, it just blends in with the paint so well you don't notice it. Kind of stealthy. But in the right light, it jumps out at you.

I am surprised there is more discussion regarding the smoothing out of the bottom of the car. I would also add v-shaped runners from front to back spaced at about 4-6 inches apart. This should significantly make the car quieter and handle better.

Added Screen Sun Visor Hood (from PriusChatShoppe) all I need now is some sunshine. I'm thinking of making a screen for my Garmin GPS276C.

Well we took the prius on a nice 8 hour drive up 5k feet and sure enough 2 holes burned to the coroplast, both where it was directly touching the exhaust, lol now I know where I SHOULD have cut it out, but hey it fixed its self for me.

 

Not alot of Hypermilers here, plus for alot of people its out of sight out of mind.

 

Any noticeable gains yet? I'm interested in these types of DIY myself.

 

I like to think so, but our trip was brutal terrain, with headwinds stronger than I have ever felt. I will have to report back after a "normal" everday commute type tank fillup.

 

I installed Black Clazzios, time spent between the kid's nap time is 2 days with the total time of 3 hours (and some change for the headrests). Overall happier than having cloth, but I had to remind myself they are seat covers as its not completely snug as the factory leather.

I did the headrests first, so I can get a feel of how pliable these things are. After getting the feel for things, I felt more comfortable when installing the bigger items.

Next is doing the door panels.

 

This is where I mounted my recently acquired scangauge in my Camry. It's mounted to an L bracket I made out of stock aluminum that's stuck to the back of my clip on rearview mirror.

Ran the wire up the A-pillar and under the front edge of the headliner. Had to extend the wire with a connector and cat5 cable though.
