I got some prius toys from my sis for my bday : ) today.
They're so adorableee. Came a set with 4 colors.

I'm going to leave one in my car.
Now to find some way to stick it to my dashboard without damaging it... hmmm.

clearance was not really an issue..... I was suppose to put on my other front lip that I have but decided to not to install any right now.....

 

Detailed it up after having the windows tinted; 35% front, 15% rears and a 5% windshield strip.

Today I added some washers to the driver side front seat mounts.



I was able to add as many of seven of these without depriving the OEM bolt enough length to get a full bite of threads.



I spend between two to three hours a day in this seat. I hope this is gives me enough tilt to ease the hot spot a little.

 

Also, I finally got my Shark Fin installed!

Here's the before picture, featuring the OEM post antenna.




While doing the dry fit I used some electrical tape to mark the alignment.

I replaced the ugly Toyota antenna for one of these



During the installation I found that the actual antenna is just the bottom portion of the antenna, the two top fragments are just cosmetics. So to increase the reception I disassembled the antenna, removed the paint from the top of the actual antenna and used a spring to extend the antenna actual size.

Here is a picture that will explain the trick by itself.



I don't have any scientific way to measure the gain but living in South Florida it was enough to get some HQ FM stations.

 

Today I completed my LED upgrade.


I used the same LED bulb type to replace the one in the trunk (above) picture and the one in the back seat dome. Pushing away the contacts did the trick.

Well, and I ended replacing the antenna, here is another picture.


All these changes cost less than $30! And they improve the esthetics of the Prius a lot. Even KIA has learned that and they are applying it in the USA market. The PRIUS is a wonderful car but there is a lot to be improved in this field.

 

Finished installing clazzio leather seat covers. My fingers will be sore for a while

Thanks for the heads up here milkman44 I guess I must have been under a rock for the past few months this is the first Ive heard of this app.
