If you liked it before it cracked, you would likely be better off with the TRD/Plus sway bar actually designed for the 3rd-gen Prius. The TRD/Plus bar has end-links precisely to prevent this sort of failure.

OTOH, the CUSCO bar mounts bolts directly to the spring perches. It is hard to say if that will produce different stress points... but I think it will.

lol! i remember the days with my Honda, being 2.5" off the ground and having to Creep over speed-bumps and into driveways... good times!

Home Made Toyota Prius Pickup Blowing Minds Across California

 

I installed my interior LED kit today.


The rocker panel lights in the door were a little tricky.


The cargo light seems a little bit sloppy.


But after it's all in it looks pretty cool.


I think I'll look into some of the LEDs that have larger clusters. These look sharp but they don't strike me as being very much brighter.

 

Dylan, do you think a 12 LED panel will fit into the rear hatch light fixture instead of the 9 LED panel you installed?

Yes, I think it might. The OEM bulb is kind of small and the mechanism isn't very forgiving of the larger faux bulb that I just stuffed into it. But it might accept something like this.



I included this shot to better reveal what's behind the lens.


Considering how everything in this car is so beautifully engineered, this little light fixture strikes me as relatively mickey-mouse. I'm contemplating gutting this little guy and refitting it with a new switch and something like this.


Knowing what I know now, I think that the iJDMtoy.com kit looks much more attractive.

Thanks, I'd rather use the panel type LEDs. Some of those festoon type bulbs don't fit very well in the Prius hatch light fixture, the spring loaded adapter seems perfect to maintain electrical contact.

I gained hardly any more light in my trunk by going LED but at least it takes less power.

 

Today I installed my Stage 10 shifter.

 

If you are looking for more light in back, you could order a set of these. They're nice and bright.
