Today I got my Black Prius a California Duster for the outside, and a California Dash Duster for the inside dash. Used the outside one so far, works great. I don't keep them in the Prius yet, because they have an odd smell (which may go away).

Helps keep it looking clean and washed!

Installed chassi braces finally, haven't had the full opportunity to test it all out yet.

Also completed PlastiDipping all my emblems and put them back on.

    Front before.

This was my first PastiDip experience. I'm pleased with the end product. I think it looks a lot better with the black emblems.

Finished off the HID retro fit with projectors. This was also my first time doing this type of install and with no one to help me it was kind of a head scratcher on the first light. But when the AH HA moment came it flowed pretty well. Here are some pictures of my install.

Happy as a pig in mud when the package arrived and I couldn't wait to get to the install.

    IMG_5815.jpg IMG_5814.JPG IMG_5816.jpg IMG_5817.jpg IMG_5818.JPG IMG_5819.JPG

I used the main power connect in the fuse box on the front driver side to connect the relay.
    IMG_5822.jpg IMG_5823.jpg IMG_5824.JPG

Installed the ballast behind the little insulated plastic cover on each fender so that the whole thing was hidden from view.
    IMG_5827.jpg IMG_5828.jpg IMG_5831.JPG IMG_5829.JPG IMG_5830.JPG

Placed the relay up on the plastic towards the firewall to minimize it's view as well.
    IMG_5825.JPG

Baked open the headlights and removed the stock projectors and replaced them with Bixenon projectors.
    IMG_5833.JPG IMG_5832.jpg

Put it all back together, reinstalled and Walah!!
    IMG_5834.JPG IMG_0224.jpg IMG_0225.jpg IMG_0226.jpg IMG_0227.jpg IMG_0223.jpg

All in all I'm very pleased with the upgrade. Again this was my first trip around the block on this type of mod. Any suggestions? or anyone see anything that I could have done better or easier?

Nice clean installation, looks great. What kelvin temperature are the bulbs, they look pretty blue?

FYI, it's voila, not walah. ;)

Great job! It's a little tricky with those large ballasts as there isn't a lot of room. I put some 1/2" foam tape insulation on the tops so it would cushion any rattles against the fender.

Interesting install on the relay. I spent forever trying to figure out where to mount it. Did you run the loom at the back of the engine, or did you come back around the front?

So, I haven't reinstalled mine since I redesigned the bracket for TRS. It appears that the projector is now centered (or better centered) in the shroud. Is this true?

For the whole nexus 7 in dash install or for just this app install ?

I ran the loom behind the rear of the engine keeping all of it hidden from sight. The length was a little too short which required me to face the ballast on the far side towards the rear. But it worked out really well. I haven't any rattle problem at all with this set up.

The bracket fit perfectly and was basically plug and play. No ground shadow at all. Once It was all said and done i was pleased with the product.

After I was done I looked at it and wished I had more time to paint the inside I'd the headlight.

They are 6000k. I need to match the running lights to make it look right.

When I get it installed I will post pics of the VOILA moment :)

Had to take my Prius in to the dealer to get the driver's seat fixed (which was the wrong part, so I will take it back when the real part comes in).

While there, I was able to ask them to fill my nitrogen tires to 2 psi over what the sticker in the door says (now they're 37/35), they redid the tint on my passenger side back door (there was a hair in it), and they removed the beeping for going in reverse and for not putting your seatbelt on. Plus, they made it so that when I use SKS to unlock the drivers side door, all locks unlock. YAY!

Nice iPad! Will you connect it to the OBD2? What software will you run on it?
