I'd go blue. It'll stand out on the west coast.

I'm going with Black...every car looks better in black IMO.

I'm going with blue - it's definitely the fastest color. We might add a racing stripe to further enhance speed.

I agree, every car should be black. Just like Henry Ford (apparently) said, "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black."
Besides, everyone knows black paint adds at least 10 Horsepower.

I am going with Red with Beige interior, Prius III. I like the Red on the Prius. I think the Silver looks the best, but I have had a silver car for 9 years and want a change.
When I saw the 2010 Prius pictures from Japan, there were very few Red cars - which means that not many are being ordered or not many are being made yet.... and it probably will be the later, which means my wait will be longer to get a Red 2010.

Why not White? Then you have the full spectrum of colors!

    It's their top-of-the-line trim level. They go T3, T4 and T-Spirit. Usually the T-Spirit is a "sport" model (e.g. the Auris T-Spirit).

Pssh.... everyone knows a Type-R sticker gives 15hp.

Yeah, but as a Pom by birth I like to keep up with things in the land where they still drive on the left! You don't do that in Oz do you?

Should I know what an iTech is? Is it made by Apple?

As Tideland said it's the top of the range model...

SR is normally the sports version (not on a Prius tho!)

    Check out www.toyota.co.uk :)

My pick will be Barcelona Red Model V with Bisque leather.
This is based on Gen 2s I've seen. I'll finalize when I see a '10 in the flesh...I may switch to Blizzard Pearl though. Of course dependent on availability of initial inventories.

BTW, for some reason - from all the rear-end shots I've seen of the '10 and Gen 2s.... I like the spoiler and rear of the Gen 2 better. Not sure if it's the more rounded shape, subtle appearance, or spoiler body color. The Gen 2 has a more integrated shape IMO.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all (theoretically since we don't all live near each other) on the road with your new Prii so I can see the various colors live and in differing lighting situations. Then, over time, I can make up my mind whether I'll still want the silver or opt instead for the Blizzard Pearl :)

Some of these colors can be seen on other vehicles.

Blue Ribbon Metallic, for example is shared w/ the current Camry Hybrid. Blizzard Pearl can be found on the Venza, Highlander, RAV-4, Sienna, etc. Seeing those two in person helped sway me from Blue Ribbon (a fantastic color when clean) to Blizzard Pearl. Blizzard Pearl, IMHO, is totally worth the $220 additional for the 3 layer paint job.

If I opted for the Blizzard Pearl I'd have to purchase an unlimited monthly car wash package from my local car wash place because I don't have a garage and that pearl color car would be gathering dirt and probably showing it horribly. I bet it's a beautiful shimmery color though!
