No. The words were not the issue. The problem was the extremely loud engine that startled me as they passed me. What was displayed
on the cap was the explanation for his behavior.

That looks like a Caddy from the Age Of The Land Yacht!
I had a similar old Buick which we called "Calamity Jane" because we could never take a trip without it breaking down in some manner. But after 140,000 miles and many scrapes, dings, and Bondo repair jobs it was a true "Ghetto Cruiser" and everybody, and I do mean everybody, would get out of my way because they all suspected I did not have insurance and did not care if I hit anything, driving a heap like that. Fun times.
In contrast, I agree our Prii get no respect!

    3. Mitsu Mirage x 2

lol I had a car like that once. You could cut people up and they'd thank you for doing so :) And you could park anywhere you'd like and not care who parked next to you or worry they would ding your door. In fact mine had had the drivers lock drilled out by some thief and I never bothered fixing it and still nobody tried to steel the car. The only concern I had was weather I'd find a tramp asleep on the back seat.

Used to get stopped by the Police every couple of weeks though. "Do you know why we've stopped you Sir?" Yeah, I've got a crap car. Here's the insurance, here's the tax, the mot. The tyres are legal and all the lights work. They'd laugh, cast an eye over my insurance and let me go.

Never been stopped in the Prius. Hmmm, every car has pro's and con's then I guess.
