We haven't had a UFO thread in awhile

ET earth visitation depends upon faster-than-light travel. We don't have this. It they do, earth as destination heavily depends on on earth offering 'good stuff'. Lightly depends on our information management of detected visits.

My recent thinking is that biologicals might be discomfited by faster-than-light travel. Would be unlike science-fiction movies you've seen. Would lead us to anticipate robotic probes instead of bio-goo-folks here. It's all up in the air, dontcha know.

 

Today, May 9, 2018 is the 17th anniversary of the Disclosure Project National Press Conference event that launched the Global Disclosure Project. Google has deleted the original video of the conference, but they're up against a whack-a-mole game with copies of the original.

Here's the first copy that popped up on a YouTube search. The full video is almost two hours, but you can get a good sense of it by watching Mr. John Callahan, retired FAA Head of Accidents and Investigations. He speaks at time index 14:50 through 19:25.

The incident he spoke about was in 1986. The press conference was in 2001. The CIA confiscated his evidence, and is still "investigating it". The CIA concern is that the public would panic if they were told the truth about such incidents. YMMV.

Continuing to pollute this thread with extraterrestrial things not necessarily UFO.

Radio astronomy at low frequencies cannot be done well on earth because there are many transmitters here. Plus, ionosphere keeps much outside stuff out. Far side of moon is well suited, except for that quarter of a million miles aspect. Dutch and Chinese will get it started later this year:

Dutch have not been much into exploration for a few centuries, since when cinnamon and cardamom and things like that were 'hot'. To which I say groot and fei chang hao.

Also lunar farside is just where I'd assemble my ET invasion fleet, if I had one. So, some Terran hardware ought to be considered.

LRO is still orbiting and looking down, but y'know ET might just be causing it to replay old views of their landing sites before arrival. Like what happens to security cameras in movies.

I'm thinking that the new UFOs are the same as the old UFOs, sicne they always seem to be operating in US military operations airspace - which is.....at least, interesting.
I mean - they can read NOTAMS too - right?

One of two things is happening:
It's US, sending a message to our adversaries
or?
It's our adversaries sending a message to US, and common sense leans towards the former since dot.mil is pretty good at keeping things zipped and I haven't heard of any new former airdales turning big rocks into little rocks in Kansas.
After all....I know of at least one bubblehead that was JAILED for sending one photograph of the wrong part of the inside of one US submarine.....and now there's more F/A-18 "alien" footage floating around than there are of large city mayors flouting their local mask ordinances.

It's kinda hard for something to get INSIDE our ADIZ without popping positive for a skin return, and we have SPIRS, and orbiting and terrestrial radars that can track orbital debris not much (or any? ) smaller than the size of a REAL tic-tac.

So....
The tall greys can travel a bazillion miles, sneak into our atmosphere, and suddenly they're busted by a targeting pod on an F/A-18?

Naaah.

@ETC(SS) point about orbital surveillance radar seems well founded. I have mentioned a private company (leolabs) in context of orbital debris before. Would have to be pretty darn stealthy for them to miss things.

 

The engineer in me thinks that list is too short, even without considering ET.

 

Not just radar.
They would also have to either have no mass at all, or move reeeeeallly slow to avoid being detected thermally, and then suddenly NOT....in order to show so well on FLIR.

Perfect timing to keep this thread alive. This coming week some locals here (Laughlin, NV) are hosting a "UFO Mega Conference" at the Aquarius Casino. We're not planning on going anywhere near Casino Drive with those nutjobs in town but it might be interesting to see all the costumes and tinfoil hats.

To answer your question, the probing reports are way down in the last 10 years, although cattle mutilations remain at about the same level as in the past 50 years. People are still blaming Chupacabras for those, yet no clear videos of Chupacabras have been shared, so... obviously.... UFO's (or UAP's as the now preferred name). UAP sightings are less suppressed and just as plentiful. More top-knowledge professionals and ex-government employees are talking more openly these days. Expect more exciting news in the years to come.
