No, I don't. I consider the original Star Trek to be one of the worst TV shows ever, with its heavy promotion of violence (the people who want to avoid violence are always bringing the ship and its crew to the brink of destruction, until Captain Kirk blows the bad guys out of the sky; and its idiotic black and white portrayals of our enemies (very thinly-disguised Russians and Chinese -- Romulans and Klingons) as pure evil who live only to hurt us and who will gladly die if they can take some of us with them). It's badly written and stupidly conceived. And successive versions are not all that much better.

The Star Trek spoof, "Galaxy Quest," on the other hand, was a great movie!

And how is it that a robot with a brain the size of a planet (to use a quote from a much better book) doesn't even know that cats are not named "Spot"? Dogs are named Spot. Cats are named Fluffy.

 

I said one of the worst ever. You are right that there are many shows I have never seen, though I did have a TV until I left my mother's home at the age of 16 to go to boarding school.

 

Had nooo idea this would cause such an uproar...maybe Chris Crocker should do a "Leave Mr Data ALONE!!!", but he will have to change one of his lines to: "He's trying to be a human being!"

Mama cat don't like it if you move the kids. I once had to clean the house after my one cat had kittens. I moved the kittens across the room to another bed while I vacuumed around the first bed. I was hardly done when mom appeared and promptly put them all back. Four kittens to carry and she's not a big cat.
