I hear you guys. I'll be implementing a system soon that will give many more options - in fact, we can tailor it to be whatever we want. So... what would you guys like to see? Thanks Like Dislike Add it to the wiki! Informative Wrong ? ?

+1. I also have a real problem with "follow", "following" and "follower". I can't even remember what it was with the old software now, but it was better than that.
+1 on Change from "Like," to "Thanks." Personally, I think that there is danger to adding negative buttons, especially "Wrong." Sometimes it takes a back and forth exchange to clarify exactly what a poster is trying to communicate. "Wrong" is a strong, 'red flag' statement loaded with emotion. To be meaningful it needs to be supported by some explanation, clarification, additional data, etc. I feel that being able to just click "Wrong" discourages communication, and would create and inflame bad feelings. I don't see a need for Priuschat to be more like Facebook. There wasn't a lot wrong with 'thanks'. 'Like' doesn't seem an entirely suitable replacement. Maybe 'agree' and 'disagree' could work, with a net tally to show a post's popularity, or lack thereof. I'm not keen on the 'followers' idea, either. 'Friends' sounds much better, and is more accurate. All in all, Danny, it's hard to please everyone, even some of the time. But 'thumbs up' for trying.
Thank you for working on irt- I also would prefer Thanks, as well as the more neutral "Agree" and "Disagree". Is there some option such as "Can we get independent confirmation?" for those things that may not feel right, but could be (acknowledging the limits of my knowledge of all things, but sometimes the gut says something...)
Thanks for addressing this. In my opinion: Fewer options are better, so as not to water down their usefulness Options should not be too similar Don't offer both "Like" and "Thanks", just one Don't offer both "Informative" and "Add it to the wiki" As others have recommended, no negatives Suggest simply "Thanks", "Add it to the wiki" and perhaps "Make this a sticky"
Whether it's Like (Facebook), Thumbs Up (YouTube), Upvote (reddit), +1 (Google+), or Thank (old-school PriusChat), it all means the same damn thing. I'm more worried about people abusing the word "literally", and even that doesn't matter.
I'm all, like, liking the Like, it's totally, you know, like, liking it. Thanks is like, not like Like at all, it's all, like, not all that at all. Like, you know what I'm like sayin?
