    US is the same way. They use actuarial science to predict the loss and cost. Usually younger male has the highest risk of accident, thus the highest premium. But, make and model of car, location, how the car is used, etc, etc, all comes into the play, which I have no idea how they figure out the differences in the rate for the same car.

    Worst part is, by the time the costs come down there's less time for the fun stuff. ;)
