I wish. There is a company here in California that says it can do it, and it actually has done a few Ford Escape hybrids which are similarly designed because of Ford and Toyota's licensing sharing. Are you salivating yet?

"articles" like this usually have some advertiser source - probably a large dealer with a glut of used Prii.

I'm finding this hard to believe with the incentives toyota is throwing at the new prius, and the double digit sales declines.

 

strange as it may seem, people here cannot seem to get good deals on used pri. but the new deals are almost unheard of.
most used buyers are usually trapped at a price point well below 20k.

 

congrat's! Does it have DC QC capability? I understand that about 20% or more came equipped that way.
