Nah. The Prius driven at 80mph is still getting better mpg than most any other car driven in the same way. Those guys/girls are still getting 40+mpg.
Some will drive a Prius using all the tricks it offers to get the very best mileage. Others will drive a Prius to get the very best mileage possible without learning new tricks. It is Win-Win.
"Californians registered 60,688 of the new Prius hybrids in 2012, nearly one out of every five subcompacts, the California New Cars Dealers Association reports." Are they grouping all Prii as subcompact, or is this only one model? If only one model, then the Prius would be even more dominant; if all models, I'd question the CNCDA.
