I'm not a fan of the Bridgestone Ecopia EP20 - the ride and noise were worse than the Yoko AVID S33.

    Somewhat in a dilemma.

Everyone talks about tires, but I have t found no hard info on how much of a hit I'm going to take with non-LRR tires. Right now I have the TRD/Prius Plus wheels. Currently running 215/45/17 Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires(stock). I'm interested in something with a little more grip but with the same MPGs.
Am I taking a massive hit on my mileage if I go with....Bridgestone Potenza RE760? Or will it fall ever so slightly.

I'm asking because most people talk about the stock 15's.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm using my air conditioning more often and driving on the highway at +55 mph more often so my mpg using my new Michelin Energy Savers A/S tires so my 2010 Prius III is not even getting above 60 mpg. this summer (which was pretty easy to do with my 2010 Prius III OE Yokohama Avid s33d when I had them) but I am still getting about 55 mpg. The Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires are giving better traction on wet roads and on rough and bumpy roads than the OE Yohohama Avid S33d ...

Our original, and still on the car tires were Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 215/45R17. Replacement cost seems really steep, and reviewers aren't kind to them, but with the set we've got at least: they hold the road like a prehistoric bird, wear well, and our mpg is not bad at all.

I'm probably going to go with something else come replacement time, but the Pilots are highly rated for handling.

MPGnutcase, I am interested to hear your initial thoughts of the EP422+ as I am considering replacing my Energy Saver A/S with them. I love my Michelins, but I think I can get just as good of a tire for a little less money. Right now it is either these or the Continental Purecontact.
