    Getting a proper patch is either free from the tire shop where bought or $15 at a local used tire shop. The free shop includes inside tire inspection and balance. The v has a spare which has been used twice in 14 years for less than a day.

    Here, tire repairs (with a combined patch and plug) and rebalancing are free at the American Tire Depot locations, even if you didn’t buy the tire from them.

    I have had good success using plugs over many years. This Project Farm video gives me confidence that they are pretty good - especially for a vehicle that alarms if the tire pressure drops below an acceptable level. He repairs a tire with 100 plugs at 12:07 in the video:
