Maybe you can take a look at your projectors straight on, and see if there is that cateye effect the reviewer mentioned.

I'm looking to upgrade my 2013 level 4 headlights and after reading through this whole long thread I still don't know whats best to go with LED HID ?

Can someone please point me to exactly which kit to go with that will give me the best total package everything I need in one kit solution ?

The Retrofit Source - Morimoto 3Five kit (it's hid and brighter than the LED kit from xenon depot) there are two different types of bulbs H11A and H11B only difference is where the wire is on the side of the HID bulb. Get the wrong one or install it wrong, you get a shadow in the headlamp beam.

I'm reading that The Retrofit Source - Morimoto 50w XB55 kit is a big and noticeable upgrade over the 35w XB35 kit ?
Anyone care to comment on that ?

I can't comment on the 50w as mine are 35w and sufficient. I believe I'm using the H11B variant of bulbs. I still have my original ballasts 3.5 years now and sometime between 2-3 years I lost a bulb but that's how reliable they've been.

50/55w HID kits are overkill IMO. Foreground illumination will be brighter with the higher watt HID ballasts, but that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Too much light in the foreground can constrict your pupils and decrease your night vision from the excessive glare. Similar to lowbeams reflecting off fog as glare, decreasing your night vision.

35w HIDs are about 3x brighter than halogens. Do you really need to be brighter than that with 50/55w ballasts?

I have 35w HIDs in both cars and they're plenty bright.

Really I didn't know which kit to get and was looking for advice to help me to make the best choice
I was going on that other persons post where he said after trying the 35w he returned them and went with the 55w as he said it made a big and noticeable difference ?

It does make a big and noticeable difference but probably not a change for the better.

The difference between halogen and the 35w hid kit is like the difference between foggy headlight housings and clear ones :?

Yeah since i never tried any of these HID upgrades I have no way to judge so I'm counting on comments from the People who using them to chime in before I make the purchase is all

I believe there is a section for regional threads like Midwest, Cali, etc so you should be able to at least talk to someone in the same state as you if not close by

Get the 35w kit with H11b bulbs in your choice of K temperature, and the H11 relay harness. You don't need the canbus.
