Trainable cat thread...

My older black cat, BooBoo, will hiss at the vacuum when I fire it up, then run away and hide somewhere. He will also do that if I use the Swiffer on the floor

My younger orange cat, Doc, will not only NOT hiss at the vacuum, I usually have to either vacuum around him, or use the powerhead to nudge him out of the way

 

My former tom cat enjoyed being vacuumed. I never tried it with the powerhead, but the upholstery tool worked well.

The older cat enjoys his twice a day brushing, but once the vacuum fires up he hisses and runs away

I have tried using the upholstry brush on the younger one. You kill two birds at once: brush the pelt, and vacuum up the loose hair

With that and his once-a-month bath, the younger cat hardly ever has loose hair flying around. The older cat is basically a walking hairball

 

I'd never be able to get close to the cat with the vacuum. As soon as I enter the room where she is, she gets up and leaves.

 

Or, perhaps the cat just doesn't like you?

 

The cat loves me when I'm near the food, hates me when I have the vacuum in my hand. :madgrin:
