A rodent chewed through the main wire harness on it and Honda wanted to "tape it up" with rodent tape after repairing it. I was done at that point. I found out that they used soy material in the wire harness so guess what the rodent thought it was.? Food. iPhone ?
Correct after 3 weeks, but anyone in their right mind would have left that vehicle at that point in time. They make 350,000 Accords per year, but had 2 such parts in the U.S. Ridiculous. iPhone ?
Can you tell me how that warranty issue was resolved? You bought another Honda or they wrote you a check and took the car back?
it won't get overwhelmed, this is your own thread. anyways, it's 2 different scenarios from your Honda and what you plan to do on your 4runner. It still doesn't answer the question how a Toyota dealer can buy your car back for $32k-$33k when they sell brand new ones for only $34k. I don't see where the dealership makes a profit to make the deal happen without losing their A$$
I traded in the Honda to buy the 4Runner. I see you are in CA, here in WI it's very possible to do what I've mentioned. This is my 15th vehicle so believe it or not that's reality. iPhone ?
Check your pm pls... Pls report back once you sit down at the dealership, get your 4Runner appraised and get the hard numbers in writing and decide on financing, etc. Everything is arbitrary until you do this... JC91006 is kinda saying what I was saying. A dealership is in business to make money and that's it... It's a balancing act... They will not overvalue your trade by a few grand, sell you the new car at 5+k off sticker and also give you 0% for 60 months financing (like getting another 1-2k off in interest)... If they are willing to lose 10+k on a deal that's amazing and as stated I wish you the best. Pls head to the dealership and let's all see what really happens from here... Take care and best of luck.
I was never interested in the 0%. I would rather take the $2,500 cash back since there only be $4-$5k left to finance. The sales manager emailed me al day yesterday. He agreed on the truecar price. I told him what I expected on my 4Runner. If it's a bit off that's ok. If it's far off I'll just walk out. He already knows all of this and from what he told me he's ready to make it work today. We'll see right.... iPhone ?
Just Got your pm. Sounds like a great deal if the mgr is not bs'ing. Not much more we can do here for you though. We have all said it's a phenomenal deal if you can get the Prius for what you state and if you can get that high of a trade in value... Hopefully we will be looking at pics of your new Prius later today....
Making stuff up and putting words in my mouth isn't cool btw. I've been honest with you about my situation and never said it happened 15 times with different vehicles. Dealers are just snakes and I have easily worked with them over the years to get the best possible deal that I can where they only profit maybe 3% at the end of the day. And that's a fair deal in my opinion. iPhone ?
I've worked with dealers who just want you to "come in" and not email. I don't work with those dealers. Period. I set my expectations and if I don't get what I think is fair I walk out. It's pretty easy. Dealers hate it, but oh well. iPhone ?
Yes I pm'd you to ask about why you don't have snow tires in the area you live in especially when I've read snow tires are a must. Thanks for the reply. Again your Persona looks great. iPhone ?
Was your goal to ask me enough questions just to badger me in the end? Come on guy. I'm sure you can do better than that. If you feel an apology isn't necessary I'll flag your post and just ignore whatever you have to say from now. Again, not cool. iPhone ?
