Toyota prius gen4 plug in 2016-2022 heat exchanger bypass?

    Jan 6th 2025, I did this today. Took 20 minutes once the car was up on blocks. All you need is a channel lock or large pliers to pinch the hose clamps and shallow pan bucket to catch about a half gallon of coolant which you can reuse once the hose bypass is installed. Let the car cool off before doing this obviously.

    Dealer said the new part catalytic converter is backordered till June. I can't wait that long. This is your temporary or permanent solution as you choose.

    Did you also weld the pipes from the catalytic converter back together so they were tight? If fluid leaks in, then exhaust gases will obviously leak out after the bypass? What year model do you have?
