Toyota iPod integration kit announced

No, that's not correct. You only have to unplug an external CD changer, but any external CD changers didn't come from the factory. With this kit you would keep your internal CD deck.

Does anybody have any actual first hand knowledge on this?

We can see it looks like the USA-Spec adapter. But that doesn't say anything about the firmware running on it, or the interface.

Where's the info coming from that it's a crippled / older software version with no text? The Toyota press release seems to imply it handles playlists and such, so what kind of text is missing?


BTW: Does anyone know anything about the "Scorshe" iPod kit and how it compares to the DICE kit? I found some info on it here: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212290

 

I'm in the UK and getting my new Prius T Spirit on Monday with the iPod Integration Kit dealer-fitted.

If there's any interest I'll post some photos, part numbers and a review?

I didn't find anything ipod interface for a 2006 Prius on the Scorshe website.
