To be fair, the actual implementations of USB-PD have been pretty spotty and there's a ton of ambiguity around interoperability and support with the Type-C cables.

...when it works (We have a Model S).

    Story time?

To be fair, that's partially due to the fact that the poverty line there is an income of like $120k/yr.[/QUOTE]

I don’t think Toyota has any incentive to sell/make more primes than they need to. They don’t sell this car in a lot of markets. They’d rather continue selling CUVs, sedans, and trucks.

RAV4 Prime can't happen until this next-gen hybrid RAV4 takes hold and Prius Prime demonstrates the tech. Toyota's plan is a sensible approach. Remember, the dealers need convincing.

As silly as it may sound, possibly the best improvement on the list might be fiiiinally shaving an extending sun-visor!

Apologies in advance if this has already been answered, but is the 5th seat going to be pretty much the same as that of the regular Prius hatchback?

Everyone wants to sell SUVs and Trucks. Suuuper high margin compared to typical cars. It's why Americans are in record levels of car debt and have record-high monthly payments.

Really? They didn't add one single thing that interests me.

Yeah, as I mentioned, I find the best enhancement to be the extending sun visor!

40-mile battery would have gotten my attention, but that new car-/road-following feature (I forget what they called it) would have been highest on my list.

Still, I’m fine with our 2017 as it is.

Trace-assist and the fixing of bugs is all that I'm interested in, excluding a base platform redesign.

Frankly, trace-assist should be available retroactively. The car has all the necessary hardware.

Only car play is what i want, but all the other things included I've seen people mention they wanted it here.

    Right, Trace Assist! Thanks.

I’m overall “fine” with the platform as a whole, given that it’s intended from the start as a compromise with respect to the battery. Ideally, I’d like them to fill in the spare-tire well with batteries, perhaps to give it a 35-40ish-mile range, but 25-30 gets me to over 90% EV, so “good enough.”

Conceptually... I imagine they’d prefer us to spend money on a new car though.

CarPlay is a turn-off for me. Don't own an Apple product, and never will. Only supporting Apple makes me less likely to buy a car.

Perhaps Apple in some sense ... incentivized ... their decision. Obviously I have no idea; just speculating.

I hate Android as much as you hate Apple, but it wouldn't stop me from buying the car if it had Android Auto...

Anything is better than Entune 2.0.

I never downloaded Entune (or SafetyConnect). Didn't seem to have a function that was worth having.

    Stereo bluetooth is sufficient.

You don't download Entune or Safety connect, They're part of the car. (You don't have to use them though)

And you're right, Entune is not worth having. Safety Connect is another matter, that actually could be useful if you get in a bad car wreck.

You sign-up for SafetyConnect, and you do download Entune to your phone. The car gets the software from your phone. I haven't done that so when I click on the apps icon in the car, I get nothing.

Speaking of Apple, I was looking at Fry's Ad this morning and saw they had a refurbished iPhone 8 Plus on sale for $600. A 1 1/2 year old phone still going for that price. That's why I like Android better because they drop in price significantly after release. You can usually get it for less than half after a year brand new, not refurbished.

I just got 2 new LG G8s for free after bill credits plus $200 gift card and it only added $16 to my $60/m 3-line plan.
