First post - I'll try to make it a good one. I have 2 Priuses (2007 & 2010)- both Barcelona Red with grey interior. I have 5 reasons for each:

    2007:
    1) Had a Chrysler Sebring with transmission trouble at <10k miles.
    2) Someone rear-ended it so I...
    3) I rented a Prius because it was cute.
    4) I traded the Chrysler because cuteness was the least of the great Prius features,
    5) Although a 9 year old girl told me that my rented Prius was "the cutest car ever"!

    2010:
    1) My daughter had a 2000 Impala with power steering problems,
    2) and that same daughter lives on a mountain.
    3) I loved the look of the new Prius and
    4) I snagged a Barcelona Red Pkg IV within 3 weeks of availability.
    5) My daughter got my 2007 & mountain switchbacks are no longer terrifying.

so it all worked out. I am loving my 2010.

    Plug-in Base
    1) Electric Drive - Silence and instant torque
    2) Fuel Efficient - Lifetime fuel cost is half the value of the car (not the other way around)
    3) Transmission or the lack of - Jet smooth direct drive with no lag or shifting (superior to anything I have driven)
    4) Super Ultra Low emission with Advanced Technology (engineered for low emission as one of the top priority)
    5) Safety features (More airbags, ABS, Traction Control, TPMS, Backup Camera)

    6) HOV access and $3,150 tax credit (Icing on the cake)

After 3.5 years and 108k miles later, I still get excited about driving the Prius. I did not think the extra room would be needed (upgraded from compact 2-doors Celica hatchback) but it would be hard to downsize from Prius now.
