    thanks!
I played the game better, learned a few things from posters on here
    and
made damn sure I didn't get enough HV miles to roll over to the dreaded 1.0 gallons like last month...

I can do better, for awhile was 7 miles / kwh then it got colder

Yeah! Cold weather just kills my MPGe. I have almost 500 miles on this tank and have 6 HV miles, only problem is my EV miles are really low now because of cooler weather, was getting about 17 - 21 miles of EV per charge, now its about 13 - 15 per charge and it is only going to get cooler! So MPGe will be just lousy till late spring!

Now the target is on your back! :p
    Good luck! :D

yeah well this tank isn't done yet and with 36 gas miles I'm thinking I can get these numbers up a bit more...
Make you work for it !

question for you or anyone in snowy areas - snow tires a good option ?
bought in late March and I'm not excited about the prospect of a PiP in snow

Yes !!! Put snow tires on tonight! run with 32 psi for best traction!:p Maybe some sand in back would help too!

Now back to your question I had a 2005 Prius for 7 years and now the 2012 plug-in have never had snow tires, The plug-in has much better traction than the 2005. Never have had a problem with the snow, but remember I am in town and snow plows do a good job. Just use comon sense. If you really think you need snow tires, I am sure they would make a hugh differnce in traction and handling and safer to drive.

130 MPGe on electric miles. 59 MPG on gas. 70% EV.

    What a combo!

I have reached another 1,000 miles on PiP. Although I did not beat my previous entry, I just want to share with you.

135 MPGe on electric miles. 61 MPG on gas. 50% EV.

    IMG_20131017_232022.jpg

BTW, I found a new route to work (10 miles one way). It is not possible to charge at work yet. So I use gas on 7 of the 10 miles on my way back home (using 0.1 gallons).

When I get home, I charge it for about an hour before I head out for daily chores in all EV local miles. Loving my PiP.

With this new driving pattern, my EV ratio for the next 1,000 should be higher. However, the weather is getting colder so we'll see.

Ya, these cars are impressive even without the plug in part. I did 79.1 MPG on a tank once in my old regular Prius before I got my PiP. And the sky is the limit with the C.

I really like toyota hybrids, we have a 12 hycam it drives sooo good. and this little car is perfect for in town where I dirve all the time. I do wish it had a plug. even if it just brought the small battery up to 80% while it sits in my garage in the morning I could get better mpg on my 2.9 mile trip to work.:)

Just did my 30k maintenance. Not going to make any on the list. But definitely I want to know how efficient my PiP is. Please help me on the math.
