Sorry for 2nd post. Tried multiple (to say the least) times to PM a Mod, no go, just database errors.
Then tried to edit the post I just wrote to insert this information.. wouldn't allow it...

Ya I get constant errors. I'm starting to back off the site because of it. Just being honest but it's a pain.

It took 27 page refreshes to get something I could even read just now and it's still not right. Why is it called and "unexpected" database error. It's been so bad for so long that I always expect a database error. Now, I wonder how many tries it will take to post this, or if it's even possible.

I don't know either, but now it's suddenly working. I imagine Danny got wind of it a did whatever he does or called whoever he calls. I would think that he would have fixed it by now if it was within his power.

Just saying....this ain't no new happening, as veterans here can tell ya.

Yes, Danny is busy. Hey, I am busy too. I would say many of us are fairly busy -- a few of you...hmmm....from what you post, not so much.

Bob Wilson has to visit El Patron and Bob's dogs need attention.

Mendel has to talk Canadian. That is difficult and takes a lot of time with all those aboots and other such Eh, so, eh, you want to, eh, talk like, eh, a, eh.

Yet, despite many of us being busy and Danny being busy, that did not stop Danny from going on the Junket to Japan last year while this forum was in the midst of one of the worst OUTAGES it has ever seen.

Did the D-man take a moment to at least acknowledge it -- yes, I know, it would take maybe 90 seconds. Quite a bit of ones day.

But, Nope. Not a word was posted.

Did he then write a long travelogue about his Japan Junket and the car he got to drive -- Yep.

Just saying....We don't need War & Peace from Danny, but the Cliff's Notes version of what is up on the forum would be nice.

When this forum was upgraded (long ago)
    I left for several years

My thought now is the same as it was then, the Old forum software was better

It is not Danny who makes this forum good; it is the USERS.
    There are other alternatives.
I don't understand why so MANY are willing to put up with the shoddy service here for so LONG.

Because it's still better than Facebook? :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, though, for me it's incredibly frustrating, but I endure because of how much I'm learning here. And the fact that this forum offers me so much in that regard makes it all the more frustrating when the site goes belly up again. If there weren't so many helpful and encouraging people here, I'd have been gone by now. But I'd still obviously want someone to fix the root technical problem.

FB wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
There are other Prius Fourms just sitting there gathering dust.
A mass migration might get somebody's attention.

I knew that. Just a comparison as in, "Well, FB sure gives me a lot more grief, so this is tolerable." Not saying it would be anything like a valid replacement option. We seem to have a great mix of people, just an unreliable infrastructure.

But speaking of mass migrations and Facebook/PC, I was really hoping for one of those from FB to Google+ a few years ago, but it never took off. I guess it's hard to overcome inertia with large groups of people.

I saw one of those last week for the first time. The car, not the forum. :)

It's all happening again! Endless 'database error. Try again later' on opening sure and following links. Been struggling unsuccessfully for 15 mins to post a reply. Now, where did I leave my sense of humour....?
Incidentally, 3 database errors while typing this.
