^ Electrically, things are actually much more in your favor than you realize. Your calculation is based on ~8.8 kWh, but charging from 0% to 100% is roughly ~6.5 kWh. So your new electric usage based on your cost per charge is roughly 0.39 cents for a full charge. Rob43
Gotta be under $2.75-2.80 / gallon here to make electricity cheaper - still haven't hit that in our area.
That is incredible! I haven't had to fully charge the battery in a while either because on top of the working from home thing now I am also trying to burn off three month old gas. It's taken a little over 298 miles to get to the half way mark. I want to burn off another 3/8th of the tank before filling back up. So presumably I have roughly another 225 miles to go. What a problem to have. It seems like with the EV battery I'm getting more MPGs then just being in hybrid mode with no EV charge.
You can drive your Primes gas tank down to the yellow low fuel light with no problems, remember that your have roughly ~1.9 gallons left at that point. I personally run a 1/3 full tank of E0 Premium when I'm just driving around locally for months and months on end, then when I go on a long trip I'll switch over to a full tank of cheap E10 87 Regular. Once back home I'll start the process over again. Both have their pros and cons... Rob43 PS, If you have a conveniently located 240v outlet, you can charge up in about 2:28 minutes for less than $50 dollars.
