Tires for 2017 Prius 3 Touring

    Actually, the 225/45/17 (d=24.97, sidewall height=3.99, change= -0.03%)
    is closer in size to the 195/65/15 than the 205/50/17 (d=25.07, sidewall height=4.04, change=+0.36%). Is the 0.05" sidewall difference noticeable? Probably not.

    The numbers in parenthesis represent change from the 195/65/15.
    The 225 are about half inch wider than the 215, or 0.25" on either side of the tire.
    Basically the trade off is closer to size and slightly wider (the 225), or skinnier and slightly larger (the 205).
