Paintless dent repairs are great, if done by a skilled craftsman; my black Acura Type R's finish was saved many times by the artist I use out here, and he'd take out a ding onsite, usually for about $60.
If paint has to be applied, it should be done to an entire panel or bumper to prevent spotting color mismatch. Again, this is a matter of trust. What color is the car?

Got a grey Prius Prime Plus at Tarbox Toyota in RI for 23109. Now waiting on the $1500 RI plugin rebate check.

 

The man whom I use leaves absolutely no mark on the car(s) that he takes on. Remember, I said my car was black. This is a very hard color to fix, using paintless repair technology. The area to be repaired needs to be accessible from behind, of course; this can be a problem.
Your Titanium Glow color shouldn't have as great a problem with aging fade, like yellow, red, or blue, but these paints are complex, metallic with clearcoat on top.
It's not the bodyshop, by the way, it's the actual craftsman who does the work that matters. His environment must be clean, dustfree, and protected from wind, etc.

That's what I'm afraid of. To access that panel right above the door, they would have to remove many pieces to get to it, if they indeed do the type of repair you are talking about. Who knows if all that goes back together right and whether I'll get rattled and leaks later on.
If they do anything involving repainting, I have no confident the new paint will look like original factory paint down the road.
Damn, the more I think about it, the more it makes me mad.

 

I'm not sure about the location of the dent. I've watched my guy do some pretty remarkable "reach-arounds". Again, it's a matter of trust; how well do you know the dealer? What is his reputation? How does he rate with the BBB? Remember, if a dealer mistreats a client (especially if he's a big dealer), the client complaining to Toyota (after reasonable attempts made to resolve a problem directly with dealer have failed) can really hurt the dealer who may lose allocations of cars and other sanctions.
Your state consumer protection agencies can also bring pressure on dealer. Is it too late to change cars? I feel your anguish, and I was a luxury car and RV salesman for almost 25 years!!
I would definitely see if I could speak with the Service Manager, Sales Manager, even the owner of the dealership. Don't forget, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

Can you let me know what does 23109 include? I am getting a quote for 24191 (excluding registration and sales tax since I am out of state) from the same dealer

 

Just pick one up yesterday. Prius Prime Premium with the following add-ons that I remember

• Red color
• Wheel Locks
• All weather mats

How did I do in pricing?

I just Google my 1237a model no. to find out if accessories options are listed in that model number. Google returned that 1237 is a Prime number.

 

That's really good pricing around here (SoCal) but not sure about NY. Congrats!

is the law in NY and/or surrounding area to tax non negotiated price of the vehicle, then subtract discounts and cash back ($3600)?

It was an equote originally, excluding registration and sales tax, including the 2500 toyota rebate that ended at end of month.

 

I had the same question and searched before I purchased the Prime. The Rebate for NY State is applied after tax.

That's how rebates work here as well. But discounts come off before tax.

May. Illinois. No rebates. No Primes in stock anywhere (OK, maybe about three).

 

Using Edmunds' Build and Price website, looks like I paid $371 over invoice.

according to your receipt, vehicle price after discount was 29450 and rebates were 3600. Except for 2500 cash back from TM, what was 1100 rebate for? or what was the breakdown on 3600 rebate
