    Yes, I noticed that private conversations seem to have disappeared - from about the time of the last site update of which I was aware.

    Maybe it is a feature no longer supported? I hope not.

    Right after previous post I started a conversation with @bisco snd proved it works. Some people restrict who can start a conversation with them. I do that to avoid random people from starting one with me instead or in addition to posting in a thread. I have experienced both.

    It seems others can still start conversations.

    Yes, I am aware of restrictions that can be put in place, but everyone changing to 'do not allow anyone to message me'???

    Nope, still can't, I get the same message as reported by SFO up-thread.

    It would be a bit lame if you had to follow someone to allow them to PM you.

    Anyway, I'm not overly worried about it, I was merely adding my observation to SFO's so that it could be acknowledged that it was happening to more than one user.
