知识是科学的问题, 不诚实和自负是不允许的。 A test-post to see if language or message is the irritant. By the way, keep it up with the 'likes'. Bisco has a bazillion and I've a Long March to catch up.
Not sure it was the language, most of the posts I reported this morning before I went to work mentioned some random institution of higher learning and had obviously phony "names", many of which were duplicates. Most of the posts were in Prime forums, a few in PiP forums, and a couple in Gen 4 forums. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Please say name of random institution of higher learning. My interest is piqued and I assume originals have been wiped.
Everyone from Northwestern to UIUC, University of Chicago, Illinois Tech, University of Illinois Champaign Urbana, Illinois State to Yale, Stanford, Pepperdine, Ohio State and others I can't remember. The Illinois ones stood out in my mind because DePaul and Loyola were missing. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
A random grab then. Except Stanford - check out their marching band. Pretty darn suspicious if you ask me.
Fairly sure some were UK Universities, from memory. Could have been from any country - it's easy to pick up a block of random text in any language.
Country blocking will not work. They likely use a botnet of infected computers from many countries to actually submit the spam.
They're back. But a lot of messages have a string in common: MONASH毕业证文凭Q/微信239093618 Also, OP's name seems to be the same in most of them I've reported so far. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
It changes. I shared with a moderator some strategies that appear to be working elsewhere. I do not know if they will do something similar here.
Should I keep reporting them for now? Woke up way too early this morning, don't have to be at work until 8:30. Now OP's name has changed, and no more string in common. OP's name seems to be the only constant at the moment. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Only need to report each USER once - they often post a dozen times very quickly - the key is for a Moderator to get rid of the Fake USER - all the messages disappear
Actually, another key might be to have moderators on International locations to cover other time zones. I think that would be a "Danny" decision though.
No way - it's happened before a couple of times since I've been a member - they stop after a few days of being deleted.
Once something like this starts, a moderator will keep an eye on all new USERS - these ones last 2 days have posted garbage within minutes of being approved.
