Last couple of early mornings, west coast North America around 5~6 am, getting moderate amount of outages. Yeah I know: sleep in.
This seems to have been turned off again! Not happening today anyway, refusing to let me repost for a while but with no message or explanation. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Assuming it's intent was to reduce multiple postings in a thread? Or is it just a frustrating speedbump? I tend to go through my alerts fast, don't multiple post (well not much), and this is just a drag.
it seems to be 3 minutes, correct? the problem with editing vs consecutive posts is, a lot of times, the person looking for help has already seen your post, and misses the edit. then you have to post again to tell them to go back and re read. i had to wait 118 seconds to answer you.
3 minutes sounds about right: the most I've noticed is around 120 seconds, and I've spent maybe a minute reading and attempting to respond. Yeah, I'm just wondering if this "feature" is any way effective for it's original purpose. For me all it's doing is thwarting legitimate postings. Kinda like income tax in the 'States: I heard it was introduced as a temporary measure, at the close of world war one.
agreed, it is nothing but frustrating. but they probably don't want to hear from someone with 54,000 posts.
That doesn't make sense. Maybe whatever happened has been reversed? I posted, read another thread for maybe a minute, typed a bit and tried posting, got told I had to wait 57 seconds. I wouldn't mind if it was actually useful.
same here. it's hard to understand why consecutive posts bothers someone so much. it can't be data volume, there's way too much stuff that could be deleted and isn't.
I just had what I would estimate as a 2 minute wait. Whoever got 45 seconds must have been lucky. My actual message said 109 seconds.
