The fact that these problems keep coming back, and tend to be in the early morning when they happen, makes me think it's a server load issue (backup placing too much load on the database, maybe?), or potentially something like a memory leak that happens to be able to be cleared by restarting the affected services in the morning.
This Saturday morning was the worst that I have seen since -- when WAS the big SNAFU -- you know with the strange X logo replacing the PriusChat logo -- last fall??? The few times I did manage to actually get past the unexpected database error, the forum was pretty much covered by some strange floating potato ad.
was that the time you bailed out on us cause you couldn't stand the heat? i'm in orlando, but there's a fake beach, so i bring my laptop to the chaise, and do fake work.
As an experiment, I removed my 'Ignore user' entries just to see if it had an effect (no effect.) Then I realized the database problem has become 'Ignore everyone'. <grins> FYI, periodically I silently remove entries on my 'Ignore user' list to see if the troll has reformed. About half of them decide to pester others and don't silently go back on my list. As I was clearing the list, most of them were Ioniq fan-boys who continue to make claims about a non-product ... sad. I just created an account for The Tesla Model 3 Owners Club website (because I reserved one) and I noticed they use the the same platform as Prius Chat but the model 3 OC website looks a lot newer and is faster. Check out their website. Not as developed as PriusChat, but the interface is cleaner and there are less bugs.
Meh! Every day for the past week or more here. Not complaining because I'm only using an 8" Sammy tablet.
I use the web interface. Sometimes it is not too bad on an iPad, but it is usually unusable on an iPhone.
