Definitely a connection: if there's an interminable pause when trying to post, if you click to cancel refresh, it seems to snap out of it, complete the posting. Sometimes... (Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10, Safari on in iPhone works similarly)
tried it with no luck. do you keep hitting the post button eveytime it re highlites? that's what i do, not that it helps.
I'll be trying to post, and sometimes it's hanging without stop. In that case, on a windows system, I'll first highlight everything I'm attempting to post, do a <ctrl> C to copy it (just in case), then click that refresh button. It'll then (if I'm lucking) refresh the page, with my post showing, sucess. We'll have this site running like Swiss watch before we're done, just wait and see.
I find sometimes the last sentence or two is gone. There's an auto-save, but it typically hang got the last bit. How long have we been "talking among ourselves", lol? Months, nobody home it seems.
well, this thread is closing on 3 months, and there were other threads before it. 6 months can go by in the wink of an eye.
i really dislike the new edit time limit. especially when i read an old post i made that spellcheck destroyed. don't understand why they would change it after 15 years.
And people couldn't wait for the Gen 4 to be released (when it was announced it would be delayed by 6 months) lol.
Posting really tough this morning. I've been trying to post a sentence in another thread, made four tries I think, not happening. Doesn't seem like anyone who could do something really cares to do something. (Went back and tried again, now it posts no problem. )
Well he (temporarily) fixes it otherwise, it would've still been down from that last time when all we got were HTML links that look like a webpage from 1995.
alright! good to know repairs are being made, if only bandaids, chewing gum and duck tape. thanks! (did i mention rubber bands)
Duct tape dammit, Canadians know these things. Well, someone actually caved and marketed "duck" tape: Duct Tape, Packaging Tape | Duck® Brand
That's... debated. There's claims that duck tape was the original name for the product... And, it's not good for ducts.
Off-topic, but the one place you shouldn't use duct, or duck tape, is on ducts. I kinda lived in our crawl space for a couple of months, mending the forced air circuits.
