Terrifically hard to post this morning. Well over a month thus. Send @Danny A snail mail or something???
Two protracted (12 hour~) crashes, and the chronic posting issue still persists. About a month and a half now. Seasons come and go, the posting debacle endures.
Meh, ok: beggars can not choosers be, and all that. But a month and a half of "flakey", and @Tideland Prius running around like the sorcerer's apprentice cleaning up multiple posts, and MIA founder? ^ interesting how they both say post #9.
Those look like the same post, and an author who got impatient and clicked Post again when the delay in posting the first time was too great. They both ended up posted, but the same post number, not yet incremented by the earlier post, was also used for the second. That exact sequence has happened to me too. There are, obviously, ways of designing a database so that "two transactions got the same sequence value" doesn't happen, and it seems to mostly work right here, only not when there's a long delay or timeout in the first post appearing. It also seems that the indexes used for the site search are not getting properly updated for all new posts. I've used the search for content by member a few times lately looking for something I know I recently posted, and the list has included posts I made before that one, and posts I made after it, but not the one I'm looking for, though if I remember the thread I can go and see it's there.
Yeah sometimes I've posted, and I can see it's posted, then a bit later I'll think of something, so figure to get back to it via "Your Content", but the post is not there. The site has had problems with spammers, has certain posting limitations? Maybe something backfiring in that add-on??
