Matt Lucas - Wikipedia First saw him in Doctor Who, but the connection wasn't made until the Netflix movie Polar. The wig color and style was once my own, and it was actually disturbing to watch. Had to keep reminding myself it's the actor Dr Who.
Mendel, believe it or not, you resemble a very good friend (he has passed on years ago) who I considered one of my mentors.
Embarrasses me to write this, but back in college almost 50 years ago, I had a temporary job for a month or so. There was an announcer who would get on the PA system and her voice was so sweet it could actually stir things, if you know what I mean. if she was single I was planning on putting the moves on her. Well, when I finally met her, she was at least 65 years old, and frail to boot. Back on topic, I've been having difficulty getting this site to load the last few days. Seems okay today.
I think the singing voice of Judith Durham from the Seekers has not aged much. Judith Durham | Home The Seekers Official Website
My solar panels are doing great. Still putting out up to 40 KWh a day. They even produced more than my wife used as TS Elsa passed over. But I said this place. This being Mango, Togo. And here' the solar panels are a little wonky, but mainly the batteries are pretty well shot. That forces us to use city power and it's incredibly bad. I've spent most of this month working on protecting the computers, transmitter, and other electronics from the ravages of the city's electricity. We just made the decision to put the transmitter room on a 6KVA UPS with 500 Ah of batteries to protect it while they raise the $80k or so for new batteries. OUCH!
Is something like a Tesla powerwall an option? Or does that not work because the city power is so bad?
Getting it to the station might be the issue with shipping increasing the cost. Lead acid batteries will be made somewhat local.
A 2,000 amp/hour Tesla Wall would cost more than just one fortune. Figure the cost of the power wall. Then add a few thousand dollars for shipping. Then double all that to get it through customs. And all of that would be contingent on if it would communicate with the SMA Sunny Island inverters. Better to get batteries that are recommended to work with the system. And the local grid isn't a factor since the system is not tied to the grid.
Site seems flakey again. Noticed a triple-post in one thread, had protracted post delay myself. The work-around for me is: 1. Try to post, once, and wait. 2. If it craps out, try refreshing the page. 3. If nada, wait another minute, try again. Almost without fail it EVENTUALLY comes through. Also, search function and member posting history seem spotty. addendum: took multiple page refreshes and about 3 minutes to post the above. Thought I’d lost it. Literally, not psychologically…
The website is sending a subtle hint that it's too early for it . But not early enough for you. I'm sure an unannounced outage is just around the bend.
