This might be a silly question....but what did you name your prius?

I named my black '09 III/Touring "Lexie". My boss drives a black Lexus and I think they look alike and have some of the same features.

 

'OPTIMUS PRIUS' ... can you tell we just saw the new Transformers movie this week?

We don't get Optimus until next week (fingers crossed!) & are SOOOO looking forward to meeting him for the 1st time!

Whoa, I guess I have named it.

 

And here I thought I was the only one! She's only 2 days old so I have to live with her a bit longer, but I've narrowed it down to Goldie (obvious) and Emmy Lou.

 

Since it's an object and never responds when addressed, I just call it "my orthopedic shoe" :car:

 

I believe I'm going to call mine "Beep", cause when I back out of the garage that's all it wants to say.

 

I named my red one "Mater" which is southern speak for tomato.
Plus "Mater" arrived at the height of mater season here in NC.

 

My wife and I call it Optimus Prius. Because like 'PuddleDuck' we saw Transformers 2 right before we picked it up.

 

I named her Patsy because it's a fun name to yell when she gives me bad directions (which isn't very often). When she does, it feels good to yell, "Damnit Patsy!".

 

I call mine Pippi.
Named after the kinda odd looking, but oh so great, pippi longstockings.
Our Toyota IQ we call the millenium falcon.

 

We called our 2006, the Pod. We just picked up a black 2010 yesterday. The kid next door said "Wow, your new car looks like the Bat Mobile".

 

My kids christened my 2006 Driftwood Pearl, "The Tick".

 

My first car was a Carmen Ghia, so named it CarGhi. All the rest have been Sookey (cause that's what all our cars were called when I was growing up and it never really mattered).

But this one is special and needs its own name. When I bought it, the dealer said it was a demo that the dealer's wife had been using. He called it Mrs. Sloane's car. Though I've tried out several names, I just keeps coming back to "Mrs. Sloane." I like it, and I discovered the name Sloane means 'warrior' or 'fighter.' Now I'm actually a pacifist, but I think it suits. This car is my warrior in the environmental battle.

So Mrs. Sloane it is.

 

Mine is Winter Grey and for some reason I'm gravitating towards naming her "Pearl." But she hasn't been christened just yet.

 

I agree, it's a silly question. I can't understand even to the slightest degree the desire to name a car or other inanimate object.

 

I've actually never named any of my cars before but for some reason I feel compelled to name my 2010 III. I'm not into the whole gender thing for cars so I'm calling it the Silver Shadow.

 

Have you noticed that the shape of the cut out on the hood for the headlights is kind of like the scar on Harry Potter's forehead? (rotated) In our household, Harry got the knickname "Fuzzy".

We just picked ours up yesterday and it seems like Fuzzy is going to be its name.
