The Spectra Blue Mica Prius Club

Aloha all from the 808 state! Picking up my Spectra Blue tonight from the dealer!!! Just wondering......has anybody tried taking off the plastic trim from the wheels or does anybody have any pics of the spectra blue with the trims off? Wondering how it looks and if it matches....Thanks in advance on the feedback.

 

Hey, congrats on your purchase. I picked up my Spectra Blue Touring about 2 1/2 weeks ago from the Honolulu Servco. Did you buy yours from there also? I was thinking about taking off the wheel covers, but haven't done it yet. Let me know if you take yours off, and take some pics.

 

Wow, three Spectras on Oahu. Looks like we all have the same great taste in color. Same thing with the wheels. I'd like to know how easy it is to remove them, and how it looks afterward.

 

Make that four. Just stick your fingers under the trim ring and pull. Left mine on as the wheels looked even smaller when I took them off. Altough I do take them off when I wash the car.

 

Mine really shows off bird droppings to their best advantage. Yesterday I actually had a coworker mention this to me after he observed my vehicle in our work parking lot. I told him it was camouflage.

 

Thanks Spectra2008! I picked mine up from Toyota Leeward. Yes, I guess the only way to decide is to take two of them off and take some pics. Once I get to do that I will be sure to post some pics.

Love my SpectraBluâ„¢!

Have only had one sighting here in THEVALLEYAHMAHGAWD about a month ago, and have yet to see another. Just last week had a Prius owner in a Mag Gray come up beside me and ask where I got this FAB color!

Had to get the Spectra Blue! As its the only one that matches my age.
Almost ended up with a Silver Pine Mica, but picturing a 21 year old male in that color was kinda awkward. So I had to special order and ended up waiting 4 weeks. But i got the package and color I wanted! Its been a little over 2 weeks and I already put 3200 miles on it, with an average MPG of 58.:rockon:

 

I joined the Mica Blue club yesterday!

 

I bought my prius 2 1/2 weeks ago. A week and a half before that; I had decided on the mica. I left a deposit and went in the next morning to do all the paper and pick it up later that day. I was sitting with finance when the salesman busts in and says "We've got a problem". Well...turns out that it had sold the day before and it had been recorded wrong in the office and blah, blah, blah. I might have to wait another day...or I could take one off the lot. I said I would wait. A day turned into 2 and then into a week and I could get one but I would have to be patient (there were none available within 250 miles). I took another day and went out onto the lot and looked at another vehicle that is almost the exact same color...and I decided that I didin't really want that color anymore (all I really wanted was a grey interior). I ended up getting another $400 off the MSRP, went with silver and now I'm glad I did. So there you mica blue snobs!!!

 

I just ordered a Spectra Blue touring, with package 6. I cannot wait for it to come in!

 

Hey! Which dealer in Syracuse? I picked up my Spectra Blue Mica on the 20th of March from Romano Toyota. At that time there were two in the area - one in Ithaca, and one in Watertown. I got the one from Watertown. Did *I* get your car? If I did, I'm sorry, but not TOO sorry, I love the color!!!

Now that's a real shame John, you could have waited, it's so worth it.... shame yo u got one of those common silver colored ones, but hey at least you got a PRIUS ! Congrats on the purchase, you won't be sorry (except for the tinges of envy when a Mica Blue Prius passes you..lol)

 

I'm on love... I just picked up my Spectra Blue Mica 2008 Touring from the dealership and drove 30-some miles, what a wonderful, beautiful car, the Touring suspension was worth every penny, much more comfortable than the Base...

I have already removed the wheel covers and added the Touring badge on the trunk lid... I'll be taking some pictures and posting them later!

My 2005 Prius was totaled last month. Parts prices were what pushed the repair costs above the 75% threshhold -- $2,250 for an electrical harness! Anyway, I loved the car and its super gas mileage and low emissions, so I went looking for a replacement last week. Began looking for the Silver Pine Mica (I like the Bisque interior) but fournd a Spectra Blue Mica Touring Prius with Package #3 -- nearly just as I wanted it. Added gray leather upholstery and mud guards and picked it up Saturday. It looks great! I'm glad to have a "Green" car that is Blue!

 

Hi Spectra Blue Club - I am officially a new member as of last evening.

I just love, love, love my new baby! I waited 3 weeks for her to get here and she was well worth the wait

The sales guy took us out to where they were prepping her for me and that color is just stunning!

I couldn't be any happier and am so glad that I bought a Prius.

Hi everyone! I am a Spectra Blue Prius owner as of April 22 (base, pkg #2) and I love it so much.

I live in the south end Seattle suburbs and have yet to see another Spectra Blue Mica Prius.
