well the teams are not using the same footballs; they get to prepare their own to their liking.
You know what baseball pitchers do, spitballs, etc.
NFL kickers used to massage the footballs nearly into round basketballs because they liked a really soft football for accurate field goals. Now kickers have to use new footballs.

Brady argues a football is analogous to a baseball mitt, and no pro baseball player would consider using a fresh leather glove without breaking it in to his personal liking. So I have no problem if NFL wants to allow 11psig, vs 13, but a rule is a rule.

Also enormous curiosity about the science or slight-of-hand how they did it, if they did it. Most of the pro players I've heard say its pretty obvious something was going on here, with simple intentional deflation (takes just 1 sec) as the simplest answer.

Most of the Pro players know even less physics than their fans.

ya, they just reported on espn that there is a 6-10 minute window where the ref gives the balls to the ball boy and he brings them onto the field. they have video of him going into a room with them.

Now we are getting somewhere. A couple hours of torturing the ball boy and the truth will come out. Cheney will come out of retirement for this opportunity.

Typical Liberal ignorance. The TRUTH is already known. We just have to get it.

we will, after the forensics are done. they said this investigator will go through every email, text, phone call, inch of videotape, leaving no stone unturned. all for a rule that calls for a $25,000. penalty.

He better come up with the right answer, or he is next in line for the Cheney touch.

That would be too easy. Try waterboarding every four hours, then chain them down naked overnight on a cold concrete slab. Then apply rectal rehydration in the morning in an attempt to revive them.

Sodium pentathiol works for some things, it's the controverisal fatal dose used for death-by-lethal-injection and is largely unavailbale in the USA due to drug companies unwilling to make it for that purpose. I think the truth serum idea went out the window. So gotta be lie detector test.

    OK I see it now...
He may have a point, to a point.
Why did NFL leak the ball boy thing?
Why did NFL set a trap (some people say) instead of just saying stop it!
Not looking too good for the commish

...But now, did they do it? how'd they do it? curious minds want to know.
No offense but I had like zero interest in this game (home team kinda guy), now looks like record viewship

none taken, i feel the same way. who doesn't like a good controversy? i'm interested in the game, but not the usual pre game hype, this is much more interesting.

...stereotyping and you really need to listen to the players, because they are the ones who know how a ball shows up on the field deflated. If it's weather, they should know that. PSST letting the air out is what they all say, versus the physics and stuff we are over-thinking maybe.

most players, current and former, are jealous of the patriots success. so, it will be difficult to get an objective opinion, even if it is stated as fact. and to a man, they will admit that the patriots are the best team in football for the last 15 years, cheating aside. and the honest ones will admit that all teams cheat, in a myriad of ways. and there have been many fines and penalties over the years.
