Nice! Would love to hear your observations after you get a few tanks of driving in. Interesting observation about handling..in my opinion handling is pretty bad across the board for Hyundai. Of course, our previous vehicles were Mazdas. Maybe they fixed it?

We have two Hyundais ( 2012 Sonata and 2013 Elantra GT ) and they have been extremely solid vehicles. The 'lifetime' battery warranty intrigues me as well. Yes, I realize there is some controversy about the warranty with some on here....but it certainly beats no warranty!

BTW - I looked up the fuelly numbers on the Ioniq and they look pretty impressive. Only 133 vehicles reporting though.

I believe little of what I read. I'm waiting to drive both and make my own decision.

From everything I have read, however, the Ioniq is more fuel efficient at highway speed, the Prius at city speed.
Hyundai will offer an EV which Toyota does not.
Lifetime HV battery warranty for original buyer is a biggie, plus lower initial cost.
Reliability, to date, is a check beneath the Prius column.
Fit & Finish is unknown as is comfort and handling.

as far as I can tell, Hyundai is still waiting on the EPA so they can release the PHEV version. I really really really want to test drive one

Couple of interesting factiods in that review not related to the PHEV.
The Ioniq has been supplied constrained with LG not supplying batteries fast enough, and it is proving popular in other markets.
73% of sales are to first time hybrid buyers.

All these cars seem pretty anemic to me when comparing my prime mileage. 120 mpg with 1300 mile tank.
