<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(AuntBee @ Sep 16 2007, 09:14 PM) </div> Thanks! Alas though, that was a wishful post I my part. I won't be going anytime too soon but I'm working on getting the time off (as much as I can - hopefully 3 to 4 weeks) around the Nov/Dec timeframe. Barring that, I was thinking about the early part of winter (late May/early June). I'll keep the fridge magnets in mind. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(samiam @ Sep 16 2007, 09:31 PM) </div> Still not sure on my destinations (any and all recommendations are welcome ). My rough itinerary at the moment is Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch and Nelson (depending on how long I have). Nope, no pets here! (I do miss having a dog though) The next poster is waiting for that damn Netflix disc (which was supposedly shipped mid-last week) to finally arrive.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(moxiequz @ Sep 17 2007, 06:26 PM) </div> Nope. Can't be bothered. I'll either watch TV or buy a DVD. But rarely do the rental thing, not even through mail. Rarely go to the movie theater either but will when the movie is really, REALLY good. (And the dog always has fresh water; LickIt Spiggot.) The next poster got packages in the mail today and is about to open them.
Oh, yes, I did! Some fall clothes that I ordered from Chadwicks came today and were kindly left by the UPS man on my front porch. I was just thrilled that everything fit and won't have to send anything back. Next poster has read or is reading "The Secret" and just doesn't understand all the fuss about it. Sure, most of it makes good sense, but hasn't it all been written about before and in better books?
no, i have a hard time finding the time to read with all that's going on! the next poster or their SO has spent the better part of the night counseling a good friend over the phone.
I didn't drive 14 hours today, just an hour and a half this morning to work and probably another hour and 45 mins after work to get home. The next poster thinks today feels like Thursday already when it's only Tuesday.
I could care less if it's no closer to the weekend than Tuesday as I can never seem to get a break and have nothing to do. Plans, plans and more plans. Did I mention I do not relish social engagements? The next poster has had more business meeting in the past few weeks than they've had all of last year. Or so it seems.
No. Luckily i've managed to avoid as many business meetings as possible this year. I have a very unfavorable opinion of meetings and committees. Time eaters is what they are. The next poster needs to figure out two gifts this week at opposite ends of the spectrum. One's for a 5 yr old boy's b-day and other is for a lady who's retiring from a 35 year nursing career.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(AuntBee @ Sep 19 2007, 12:12 AM) </div> No, but some ideas: maybe this site for ideas for the 5-year-old : http://www.ehow.com/how_4854_select-gift-5.html, or the Discovery Toys store. My boy always liked Legos --- we could probably build a real house with all the Legos in his room. For the retiring nurse, anything NOT health care related (M-in-L retired O.R. nurse) The next poster dished up comfort food this evening.
Well, after eating Lean Cuisine for a week the Taco Bell Tacos Supreme felt like comfort food. The next poster is trying to help a son learn what he can do career-wise if he decides to study chemical engineering.
I wish. The next poster looked at a package by accident that was ordered by the boss (already opened by a colleague also by accident) and found a gem that was a couple of thousand dollars worth.
No, but I'll be getting this shortly. I need books for my business and bought some at B&N when it occurred to me I should just rent them. The next poster has had an extremely busy day and feels accomplished.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(eclectcmoi @ Sep 19 2007, 04:26 PM) </div> Yes. Several. The next poster is being pestered to get dinner on the table (or rather in the bowl.)
no, the cats will get their dinner later tonight and birdie has had her vegetables and a cup of pellets. the next poster did a lot around the house today.
Not a lot. Got home from work about 7 and watered the flowers. Then shredded the junk mail and bagged up the trash for tomorrow's pickup. Then propped my feet up and read more of The Secret. The next poster had a code 104 at work today (disaster!) and it wasn't a drill.
No 104 code but I did get pestered about an elusive signal 11 crash in my code. *sigh* Damn wandering seg fault. The next poster likes ginger tea
