No, I'm listening to co-workers gossiping in the background. The next poster is looking forward to the next holiday...
No, not that fast. Rae Vynn, so soon after the long weekend? Read this post to cheer you up. http://priuschat.com/index.php?s=&show...st&p=506503 The next poster read the above true story and also agrees that insects are going berzerk with our wacky weather.
Possibly... do they hand out free samples? The next poster was for once, glad to do their 45 mile commute to get closer to the beach where it's cooler.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(eclectcmoi @ Sep 4 2007, 04:17 PM) </div> nope. home office ftw! the next poster has multiple windows open on his computer.
Not only do I have multiple windows, I have 2 monitors! The next poster just survived a massive layoff... now, there are fewer of us than before...
Not quite, but I do get 'reorganized' pretty regularly. How else could an engineer end up as a paper-pushing drone? Guess it all pays the same. Congrats on surviving, Rae! The next poster is serving up lots of ginger ale and other sick kid foods.
no, but i did have leftover chicken soup for lunch today. the next poster always seems to be going through one big change or another in life.
Yes... the past two years have been all about change. And it's not over yet. The next poster has been too busy at work to play.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(eclectcmoi @ Sep 5 2007, 07:37 PM) </div> Some would say yes. I didn't go anywhere or do anything over the summer vacation. I stayed home and supervised work done on my house and did some work myself. Didn't go to the movies. Didn't go out of town. Did go out to dinner once or twice. And now school starts and there's no more time for home improvements. The next poster has several picture frames with photos their "dear whatever" in them sitting where they can look at them. (Mine are my dogs, present and former.)
I will if I ever get organized. All my darlings' pix are pegged to good old Herman Miller boards in the workplace cubette. The next poster thinks Godiva and Galaxee seriously need a vacation!
Well sort of ... my brain IS on overdrive, and I won't be sleeping much for a couple of weeks. That's because the Rugby World Cup starts tomorrow. (It may be difficult to reach anyone on the phone in NZ for a while) The next poster's blue and green receptors actually hurt because of the beautiful spring weather outside.
Nope. It's still pretty darned hot here in Nashville (95 or so degrees). There's hope on the horizon. Next Tuesday's high is predicted to be 79 beautiful degrees. The next poster is happy that it's Friday tomorrow AND it's payday.
<strike>nah, the weather here is nasty and everything is dying because of the lack of rain.</strike> auntbee beat me to it! every friday was payday when DH had a job. tomorrow's check is for the maybe 6 hours he submitted before that job thing, uh, ended. the concept of payday is pretty depressing right now. the next poster loves online jigsaw puzzles.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(galaxee @ Sep 6 2007, 11:25 PM) </div> Nope. The next poster has had it up to HERE with people that demand the poster drop everything to cater to their needs, wants, demands, "can't you just", inconsideration, insensitivity, ungratefulness and plain inability to realize the world doesn't revolve around them and they have no special dispensation or right that an exception made for the immediacy of their whim. (Today was the first day of textbook distribution, with no parent volunteers and no library students. Just Leslie and me barcoding planners and issuing books. 2,000 books per day, 400 books per hour, 60 seconds each to barcode a student's planner and issue them four books. And the teachers want to know what we can't issue them *their* materials when they had all last week to pick them up.)
Well, I can understand the previous poster. The next poster is afraid Fred Thompson will win the election for president.
I refuse to fear. I'm voting for Kucinich. The next poster has polished his/her resume, and is in contact with someone with GREAT connections on a new job! (because, the one I have may not be around a whole lot longer)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rae Vynn @ Sep 7 2007, 10:18 PM) </div> Why..YES. I just now finished updating my resumé. And I called my previous school's previous Vice Principal; he's now principal of another school, to ask about the new administration since I left. And I called a teacher who's still on that campus to talk to her, and I have an e-mail to another teacher on that campus to talk to her. I used to work there. I left to become a librarian. Now the librarian that was there has left to go to a new school (plum job). There is now a position open there for a librarian AND it's 7/10ths of a mile from my house. I'd install an EV but with the EBH I wouldn't even need that. In fact, I could bike to work on days I'm not schlepping stuff. But whether I go through with the application (deadline next Wed.) depends on the support at my current site. I've applied for access to budgets and the ability to use online ordering. If that's denied...I'm out of there. Deal breaker. They already ignored my requests for conducting staff developments, revising the library portion of the faculty handbook and requests for volunteers to help during textbook distribution. They ignored suggestions to improve beg. of the year distributions (and the same old problems happened again this year "TOLD YOU SO".) And I suspect the financial secretary did NOT put through my magazine order for this year. (Because she's cheap and controling.) Plus my job is funded with money that will end June 2008. I have no reason to believe they'll fight to keep me. ******************************* The next poster has recently been in contact with some old friends they haven't talked to in a while.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Sep 7 2007, 10:47 PM) </div> Yes, that's me. I've just been working on plans for Homecoming -- only two weeks away -- and I've been on the phone to all sorts of alumni from all across the country. The next poster is able to send me the White Album. Willing and able?
