<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Jul 4 2007, 02:46 PM) </div> Oh, yes. I absolutely do. But I won't be enjoying that pleasure. The dogs are both napping in the house. I've got shrimp in the freezer I'm about to get and thaw out. I'm having shrimp cocktail tonight. Going to make a burger now. The next poster is spending some of the holiday with friends and/or family.
Yes, my wife's mom and uncle are on there way over. I feel for those in the oven like temperatures, it's a drizzley 60 F here and all is OK. Happy 4th to everyone. The next poster has the next 4 days off.
I wish! I have to be back at work by 7:00 in the morning for the next two days. And since my boss is off this week, I have to stay until closing - around 6:30ish, or later if there are any unforseen events. It's all in a day's work and given the benefits of my job I really don't mind having to work extra long hours from time to time. Also, right now is the beginning of the coolest time of year around here, with highs only in the high 70s to low 80s. Once the rains stop it's supposed to be really nice here for the next few months. The next poster has not only heard of, but has actually seen and enjoyed a film called "Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus."
Neither seen it nor heard of it, but it does sound interesting. The next poster has to get up early and run errands in the morning before work.
no, but i do have to get up earlier to get to work on time. this injury slows me down. a lot. the next poster is on a buy-a-cheap-car-fix-it-and-sell-it-for-fun-and-profit binge. (it all got started with fixing up that es250... now, remainders of camry will hopefully be used to fix another camry, profit, and break us even on the whole hit-and-run experience! yay!)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(galaxee @ Jul 5 2007, 12:42 AM) </div> No, but you sound like you are having a go at it! The next poster, in having to pack their house up, had to remove the bookshelf that was blocking the one window in his room, (and blocking not only the daylight), but the sound of the road outside, and hates it. (and the very next poster after that thinks that is a long run on sentence)
Nope, last time I moved my bookshelves were not in the way. Fortunately! For looooong run-on sentences, try reading legal documents in German: several pages of subject phrases, several pages of object phrases, and maybe on p. 10 is a verb, and by the time you get to it, you have forgotten where the subject phrases stopped and the object phrases started. Good times! The next poster is using PriusChat to kill time at work waiting for quittin' time to roll around.
No... I only just had a moment to log on and see what was it. The next poster thinks today feels sort of like a Monday, only not.
it kinda does, what with me actually having taken a day off in the middle of the week for once. the next poster is waiting waiting waiting on things they've ordered to arrive.
No. No money to buy a house. Most savings went to the Prius. Not much you can do with a graduate student stipend. The next poster thinks graduate student researchers should be paid more.
Yes, I agree with you there and I think teachers should be paid better also. The next poster was the class clown/ or ringleader in highschool
nope- i was this strange combination of hardcore person and academic nerd. basically, i was the nerd that nobody f'ed with the next poster thinks most people didn't like high school that much.
I don't know about most people- I thought high school was a blast and I wish I could go back! The next poster is disgusted by all the news coverage of the Hot Dog Eating contest.
Yes... it does seem to take the pleasure out of eating. The next poster has weird eating habits, like only eating one thing at a time or not letting their food touch on the plate or something like that.
i guess i've never given it much thought. the next poster runs across the occasional song that strikes a huge emotional chord in them.
Rarely....but anything by Elvis or the Beatles reminds me of my dad. "Smooth" by Santana reminds me of Bob. Anything by Dire Straits reminds me of Dave. Alright, enough reminiscing. The next poster enjoys researching their family tree.
Nope...but that is because the roots go down very far. The next poster's last name is MAHER, which is Irish, but has Arabic roots, so when pronounced like this, 'MA-HAR', gets his/luggage looked at twice.
Nope, but with my German last name I also get plenty of hassle. People love to misspell it, and if I pronounce it in the proper German way I usually get nothing but blank stares in the States, so I had to "Americanize" the pronounciation a bit. What a pain! The next poster is waiting for a coworker to call back in regards to plans for a bunch of people from the office to go out to dinner together tomorrow night.
we're grad students. we can't afford to go out to dinner unless it's lab sponsored. and that will probably never happen, so... the next poster has been waiting for supplies for 3 days  and will lose two people's experiments today if they don't get here!
