geologyrox - I read a book on memory techniques when I was VERY young (maybe 3rd grade) and have used the techniques I learned throughout my life. I heard a lecture being given by Harry Anderson (actor and magician - it was a magic lecture) last week, in which he talked about the Major System which he used to help him recall the Magic Square. It was the first time I'd heard about this system and I liked it right away. I thought it might be useful to others so that's why I introduced it here. Cool that you have found it useful as well!
