    LOL

    Seriously, though, I see your location is Minnesota - how often do you get to surf there?!?!

    It's a Windsurf board, so up to a couple times a week in the summer months.
    http://www.star-board.com/viewpage.php?page_id=29
    - Minn. "the land of 10,00 lakes" (tourism bureau - actually there are more) and there really is a surfing club up in Duluth where they surf Lake Superior tho the best waves are winter and they use dry suits - not for me.
    Usually carry it stern first, deck up - but was just testing how it looked w/ a big weed fin on. The board actually will fit inside with seats folded flat - 90 cm. wide and 256 cm long and a 9 sq. Meter sail and rig fit too - unrigged and rolled of course. I was amazed it all went in and left me room to drive.

    They are regular touring rims w/o the plastic silver covers as shown in the Toyota's Prius brochure and several threads here. You need axle hub covers tho - search on "Touring Badge" to find a thread on both and how to order etc. or this thread:

    I'm in too.

    FYI: Full width bumper guards from bumperdefender.com. Highly recommended.

    [attachmentid=9816]

    Per popular requests, here are front and back pics also (they were previously posted on "bumper guards" threads).

    [attachmentid=9821]
    [attachmentid=9822]

    The bumperdefender.com color I got is "Dark Grey". However, after I had ordered and put them on, I understand that they came out with a better (darker) color match called "Flint Mica Grey". If you're interested you should ask bumperdefender.com to send you color samples of both (they give you up to 3 free samples).

    SUPPLEMENT RE BUMPER STRIPS:

    When I installed the front bumper strip I elected to locate it on a line that ends up covering up the bottom 1/3 of the tow access hole - see picture below:

    [attachmentid=9848]

    I figured (perhaps mistakenly) that this wouldn't be a problem in the event I ever have to get towed. I figured that either the tow driver can still go through the exposed top 2/3 of the tow access hole, or we could pry back or cut/punch through the bumper strip as necessary. Thoughts, anyone?

    I am in too. My Mag Gray is about a month old. I am loving it.

    I owned a Black Nissan before and I loved how black looked but in Texas it was hard to keep the inside cool. Also the Black showed dings even worse than the gray.

    That is why I decided to go with the Mag Gray. It is close to black but just as classy :)

    NOTE: One member replied that if I ever have to get towed by a flat bed truck, a tow hook that is supplied with our Prius needs to get screwed into that hole which is threaded.

    FOLLOW UP:

    I went back to the owner's manual. It suggests that you only need that hole and hook in the odd emergency situation where you have to get towed with a rope/chain through the hook (e.g., if you're stuck in a deep ditch or underwater).

    I also went back to my car and tried prying back the bumperstrip to remove the plug and access the hole, and found that it was easy to do --- notwithstanding the 3M super-duper glue, I was able to pry back the bumperstrip with my fingers.

    So all in all, I'm not worried any longer. The bumperstrip stays where it is. Although if I could have a do-over ....

    I previously posted pictures of my Magnetic Gray Prius with the BumperDefender.com 2" wide, full width, color matched, front and rear bumper guard strips.

    This past weekend, I also finished installing the PriusChat Shop body side moldings.

    So, here's how she looks with both the BumperDefender.com bumper guard strips, and the PriusChat Shop body side moldings:

    Looks nice! Unfortunately, they would have been totally worthless against the scrape I got above the rear wheel in a parking lot last week.
