Patience is a virtue. First I need to get a contractor to run a line into the garage from the main box. Plenty of other things I can do while waiting for that to happen.

I have finished the download marathon from TIS. There are 775 useful new files now stored on my computer with lots of information and graphics for me to sink my teeth into. :D

Discovered today that I will need to do a little cable re-engineering to the speedometer cable if I want to use the one out of a Lexus HS like I plan to. I plugged in the HS unit, but it isn't getting power. Something to work out next winter I guess when it is too cold to work on the car.

Otherwise dash dis-assembly continuing. Can't really notice a big change, but all of the a/c ducting is out.

Hope you're not cutting high strength steel, that stuff is a PITA, even for emergency responders with big cutoff saws.

It'll eat up your saw blades.

DeWalt with a cord. I detest rechargeable batteries and their short lifespan. It got good reviews and I found it new on-line for 50% off.

I anticipate using a LOT of saw blades! I'm cutting into two different cars to make one.

Estimated arrival of the saw isn't until next week Tuesday, so I guess I'll find something else to do... like removing body wiring in the cut areas. :D

2-1/2 Prii to be exact. However the old Corolla at the bottom of the driveway is feeling rather unloved these days.

If you are referring to me not liking the rechargeable batteries on power tools, they are not even close to being as reliable and long lasting as the batteries in my Prii. I like my power tools to be ready the moment I need them and not require me to tend to them when I don't. It's bad enough that I need to keep after the battery on my Neuton mower.

Beautiful weekend here in Ohio. The new saw won't be here until Tuesday. SO hard to wait!
The car is ready and waiting.

I will start off with rough cuts to get the top off and worry about the finish cuts later. Much will be revealed once I can see into the cavities of the structure. Had a bit of a scare when the car wouldn't go into gear when I needed to put it away. Then I realized that I had reconnected the door switches to the dangling harness. The car with no doors thought that the doors were all open!

    Stay tuned!

Looking at those photos, the thing that strikes me is the almost complete lack of any soundproofing in the body. Not that I didn't already know that having driven one for a couple years.

With the driver's door open yes, but it also thought all of the passenger doors and the hatch were open too.
