    Toyota announced the Prius I will be available later this year, base MSRP of $21,000, when they announced the 2010 pricing in April.

    What would they do that for? That would mean a prius with less options than the current base model, with the space removed so we are cramped. Then, just to compete with the Insight, this model of prius would get 15-20% worse mileage than the rest of the Prius. Then it would compete with an Insight. I would not buy one of those Prius... ;)
