Man, if I were a Toyota salesman on the East or even the West Coast right now, I'd contact Priuschat about my Prime Midwest Hootenanny, where I'd have the 3 Prime models for demos in the Midwest somewhere. The offer to buy would include either a plane ticket to my dealership, or transport of your new Prime to your location (costs subtracted from Toyota rebate) to all qualified buyers. Let the lawyers work out the details!! Inventory would be gone EVERYWHERE within 3 weeks!! AND you Midwesterners, MidSoutherners, and other Prime-starved CARB victims could put on your happy faces!! .
There is a mid-September, EV driving day. I've been asked to bring my Prius Prime, the only one around because there are two BMW i3 already committed. National Drive Electric Week Bob Wilson
I just did a search of sorts: Is this what you're referring to? IF so, then MAYBE our Prime will be in our garage in time for me to go down to the event in Carmel, IN... just 50-ish miles from the house.... National Drive Electric Week
Had same issue in the kansas city area. No product but the velociraptures at the dealerships were more than happy to take a $500 deposit so i could order one without a test drive. Then I stumbled upon a dealership that had 4 grey advanced models. Test drove and bought. At least i did not have to pay a premium over list price. Car had no charge during test drive and when purchased had no charge, which may be best, since I'd suspect they'd try to fit the gas nozzle in the charging port. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
When I stayed at a Best Western in Hollywood, they let me plug my 120V EVSE into an outlet in a utility room. They were still charging me for use of the parking garage, but nothing extra for the plug.
Found on in another city in Texas. There were only three in the State. One dealer got one in Dallas unexpectedly and I drove it also. Very smooth and energetic drive.
