The employees manufacturing the cars probably have expectations that they're not going to lose their jobs from Plants getting shuttered because of cheap Chinese Imports - I would imagine. But it is happening right now with several manufacturers such as Stelantis & VW & maybe others. It's dog eat dog out there in auto manufacturing with less people having the spare change to be buying new cars. .
We should have the Q4 production and delivery numbers Jan 2-3. About six weeks later, the Q4 2025 financials. But I'm looking more for end of Q1 2025 as an opportunity to replace my 2019 Tesla: Over supply - cars on the parking lot China is flooding the World with affordable EVs killing the ICE market Anti-EV policies will keep them on parking lots End of lease returns Under demand - missing customers Economic slowdown and inflation keeps older cars on the road Loss of customers, Teslas are often owned by foreign born buyers I see at SuperChargers Tariff fueled inflation and shortages redirects money to goods and services for living Stock market under performs Bob Wilson
Well the numbers are out. Short of expectations. And this despite every sales boosting tactic they can think of. Could be people waiting for Juniper in the MY line. Could be just people worried about the economic climate, the safety of their jobs, inflation, increased competition. I see other brand EVs all the time and we don't, for example, have a Kia or Hyundai dealer in town. Saw a Polestar the other day. Didn't recognize the logo so asked the owner. Nice looking sedan.
Nice ...We wring our hands over Tesla missing their sales goal of +/- ½ million (missed by just a few thousand). Meanwhile there are $80,000 Ford & GM pickup trucks by the miles on back lots. Oh the irony. .
IMHO, the Tesla CEO has become distracted with things outside of his EV area of expertise. I suspect the end of March will be the next window to consider buying another Tesla. Meanwhile, I've already converted my TSLA to buying a solar roof which does not include any Tesla products. Bob Wilson
I haven’t yet found Tesla’s deliveries in Asia. If those are up, I am attributing the first annual decline to Elon’s antics on X. Still trimming stock and looking for another car with a decent ‘sentry mode’.
i'd gladly give up my $6,000. investment to see the stock tank, and i think a lot of former admirers feel the same way. i doubt many maga will jump on the stock or the vehicles
